The City of Hobart is one of the premier tourist attractions in Australia.
A journey to the top of Mount Wellington is a must. The views of the city, the
waterways and the region are incredible. No other city in Australia has a viewing
platform 1000 metres above sea level.
Other tourist attractions in the south of Tasmania that
are an easy drive from Hobart within one day include the Huon Valley, Port Arthur Historic Site and the Derwent
Valley.
The cottage is 12km from Hobart and this journey takes about 15 minutes by car.

newsagency, pharmacy, hairdresser and a small delicatessen supermarket.
The "Shoreline Shopping
Centre" is 1 kilometre away and has most facilities that a visitor would need.
The local
"Shoreline Hotel" offers quality meals at a reasonable price.
It is possible to walk along
the local beaches to the village of Bellerive, where you can enjoy a meal in one of the eateries that overlook
the yachts in the bay, followed by a stroll along the Boardwalk.
